Me – A teacher!

I was made a teacher by my mema(Mother’s sister). She came yesterday to study driving the scooter. She had called one our relative to teach her but he didn’t show up. So, the responsibility came to me. With two days, she was able to drive through the roads(without any traffic).

Also, yesterday, I joined #smc-discuss IRC channel at freenode.net. It was a new experience for me. Again thanks for Shyam for the information.

As I was asked to submit the certificates at college today, I went to Edayur village office in the morning itself. But, the village officer said that it must be bought from Irimbliyam village office as the address in SSLC book was that of my father’s house at Mankery. By 11.30PM, me and my father reached Irimbliyam village office. Even though there wasn’t much rush, it took about 3 hours to get the certificates; as the village officer had to go for some other works. I reached college just before office closing time and submitted the certificates. That’s how, I lost a whole day; simply for acquiring and submitting the certificates.

But I cam to know that Nativity certificate is valid for lifetime and Caste certificate for 10 years. So, it ‘ll somewhat reduce my chances to go to the village in the near future.

Today, classes let off at 2.30PM. But, we(me and my friends from THSS) were busy submitting applications for the new seats allowed for colleges as per the AICTE guidelines. The seats have a much lower tution fees and every college has been allotted with 10% more seats out of which girls and handicapped students have reservations. It was only today, we  came to know about it and I didn’t have any certificates needed with me. So, they told me to submit those tomorrow itself. After all this, I reached home about 4PM.

Yesterday, I connected my computer to Internet at about 9PM. At 11PM, I turned off the monitor and went for sleep, with some download and upload work in progress. when I woke up at 6AM today morning, the connection was still there and the upload work has been completed. I haven’t been connected to net for such a long time and my dial up connection with land phone always breaks if its connected for more than 2 hours. So, from now onwards, I could put something in download when I sleep….! Doesn’t it seems great? For me, its really great!!!
But, still, I can’t configure the GPRS connection in Debian. I tried my best, but its not even detecting my phone. As Shyam told, I downloaded a software. But for it to install, more than 10 Perl modules need to be downloaded and installed. I ‘ll give it also a try. If anyone know how to configure, please help me.

I recharged the mobile today morning itself to make the balance above RS 15. I got the settings for Mobile Office(The GPRS service from AirTel with which Internet can be accessed through a computer) during noon time. I downloaded some softwares from net  with which the mobile screen can be used as a torch and flashlight and some others. Reaching home, I tried connecting net from computer. It was so simple and got connection, the first time itself. The speed is almost the same as dial-up connection through land line but can be used unlimited for a month.
I am going to connect net for the whole night today. Want to know what happens…!
